She was the daughter of Thomas and Phebe Wood Nichols, she had a sister named Eunice Nichols Rogers that was raised by a other family. Edith & Eunice's mother died and her grand parents raised Edith, she came to Morrow Co. with the grand parents Jonathan & Rachel White Wood. Edith was the mother of 11 children
