He was a retired retail grocery and market owner in Chicago.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1288 McHenry.
Survivors are three sisters, Eulalia Hallett, Princeton, N.J., Antonette Tippets, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Stella Debrecht of Johnsburg; and two brothers, Leander, Tinley Park, and Gene, Novato, Calif.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin and Emil, and a sister.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Peter M. Justen and Son funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, with burial in the church cemetery.

A resident of Johnsburg, Alfred F. Debrecht, 75, of 3514 N. Chapel Hill road, died at his home Sunday, June 25.
Mr. Debrecht was born in St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 17, 1896, the son of John C. and Gertrude Wilmes Debrecht.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1288.
Among his survivors are two brothers, Leander of Tinley Park and Eugene of Novato, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Eulalia Hallett, Princeton, N.J., Mrs. Antonette [sic] Tippets, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Miss Stella Debrecht of Johnsburg.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin and Emil, and one sister.
The body rested at the Peter M. Justen and Son funeral home. A Mass will be offered Thursday at 10 o'clock at St. Johns's Church, Johnsburg, with burial in the church cemetery.
