Lawrence William Freeman was born July 11, 1908, the second child of William Edward Freeman and Harriet Sophia Ottley. He grew up in the Willow Creek area of Ucon, Idaho, later living in the Rockland, Nampa, and Boise areas.
He married Averl Halling, June 17, 1929, in the Salt Lake City, Utah, LDS Temple. They have three children, Lawrence Gerry, serving a mission in Brazil, South America; Robert Dean, Firth, Idaho; and John Gordon, Crystal Springs, Mississippi.
He farmed in the Rockland Valley until his retirement. He was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many positions, including Stake Patriarch of the American Falls Stake.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Averl, and one grandchild, Rocky Dean Freeman. They have ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Rockland Ward Chapel, Monday, June 29, at 10 a.m.
