Mrs. Prudence E Ackerson, 69, of 11805 Nyanza Road SW, died yesterday in a local hospital. She was born in South Bend, Indiana and lived here seven years, coming from Oregon. She was a member of Venus Chapter No. 129, OES in Donald, Oregon, and the Rosedale Union Church at Gig Harbor. She was employed at Mount Rainer Ordnance Depot.
Survivors include a daughter, Miss Betty Ackerson of the home; her mother, Mrs. Edith Bates of South Bend, Indiana; and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Holdeman, and two brothers, Alba and Russell Bates, also of South Bend.
Services will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday in the Rosedale Union Church, under the direction of the Perkins Funeral Home, the Rev. Mary Jane Turner officiating. Burial will be at Woodburn, Oregon.
The family requests that in place of flowers donations be made to the Rosedale Union Church.
