Obituary. Blair Pilot-Tribune, 1 Mar 1965. John P. JENSEN Buried In Blair. Atty. John Phillip JENSEN of Kearney, Nebraska died suddenly from a heart
attack in his office Monday, February 22nd. He was born August 16, 1907 to J. Peter and Ora Carter JENSEN. After graduating from Blair High School he
attended the University of Nebraska and graduated from Law College. He started his law practice in Kearney in 1932. He was a member of the Elks Lodge.
Surviving Atty JENSEN are his wife, Helen; three daughters: Mrs. Jim MASER (Kay) of Chicago, JoAnn of Plattsmouth, Ruth of Kearney and a son, John Jr.,
at home. Also a brother, Dr. Alfred C. JENSEN of San Francisco, California and a sister, Mrs. Warren BALLER (Dorothy) of Lincoln. Funeral services were
held Thursday morning at Kearney at the Methodist Church with Rev. DORAN officiating. Graveside services were held at the Blair Cemetery with Elder Francis
SCHRUNK of the Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Saints of Lincoln, officiating. Pallbearers were four nephews: Jack JENSEN of Blair, Sam JENSEN of
Omaha, John Timothy and William BALLER of Lincoln; a son-in-law, Jim MASER of Chicago, and Earl JENSEN of Kearney, Nebraska.
