Frances Lois Fraser Tenney (McAlpine), July 21, 1921-Oct. 8, 2010, resident of Cupertino. Beloved Wife, Mother, (Great) Grandmother, and Friend entered into rest surrounded by her family - her Husband Glenn, Daughter Deborah, Grandsons Erik and Kurt, and Cousin Mary. Frances will always be remembered for her wit, her gourmet cooking, and for being a renaissance woman. She was an executive secretary for Kaiser Engineering in Oakland and was also one of the original Board Members of the Oakland Ballet. Frances suffered with COPD for many years but always made family first, and finally succumbed to the effects of this disease in her final year. Her family would like to take the time to thank Cedar Crest Nursing Home and Vitas Hospice for their work and making Frances as comfortable as possible. A celebration of her life will be held at her daughter's home on Saturday, October 16th from 1pm to 6pm. Please call family for details. A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks those inclined to send a donation to a charity of their choice.
