Bonnie I. (Walker) Wilbanks, age 85, of Bay City, Michigan passed away Saturday September 3, 2011 at Brian's House of Bay City. She was born December 2, 1925 in Poyen, Arkansas the daughter of the late Willie Austin and Dora (Burrow) Walker. Bonnie was a member of the Crossway Christian Church. She loved spending time at church with her family. Bonnie will be dearly missed.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Chloe Miller, Ona Robinson, Floe Walker, four brothers, Marvin Walker, Jewell A. Walker, Ewell Walker and Carlie Walker.
Survivors are her husband of 68 years, Dois V. Wilbanks, and her daughter, Darlene (Jim) Averill of Roanoke, VA; her sons, Terry Wilbanks and Royce (Sandy) Wilbanks, of Michigan, ten grandchildren, Darrin Averill, Tammy (Dan) Richards, Timothy Averill, Rachel (Noel) Gray, Grant (Erin) Wilbanks, Brooke (Doyle) Wilbanks, Ashley Wilbanks, Lillian Wilbanks, Amber Wilbanks, and Alesha (Ben) Switzer; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, and friends including Ardith Allman, Ann Todd, and Jennifer Cunningham.
Visitation was Monday night and Tuesday before services.
Funeral services were held at 1PM Tuesday September 6, at the Stapish Cederberg Funeral Home West. Burial was in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
