J.E. "Jessie" Helms, 59, of 407 North 9th Street died Thursday at Fayetteville.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Putnam Chapel. Burial will be at National Cemetery. The body may be viewed 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Putnam Chapel.
He is survived by three daughters, Lora Jackson of Tulsa, Bertha Haysmer of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Julia Martin of Midland, Ark.; four sons, J.E. Helms Jr. of Fort Smith, Johnny Helms of Huntington, Frank Helms and Kenneth Helms, both of Mansfield; a brother, J.C. Helms of San Francisco, Calif., and 17 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dale Griffin, Richard Maxey, Jim Byrum, and Gordon McQuain.
