Funeral service for Paul Kevin Welch, 45, 5th Avenue, DeLand, who died at home Friday, May 18, 2007, will be 2 p.m. Thurs., May 24, at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand with the Rev. Howard Cox officiating. Burial will be in Pinehurst Cemetery, DeLeon Springs. Calling hours are Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Welch was born Aug. 11, 1961, in Dover, Delaware and moved with his family in 1972 from Spain to DeLeon Springs.

He was a member of the band "Status" and played guitar and sang. He was a truck driver for a truss company.

Survivors include his mother, Iris Lucille Welch, DeLeon Springs; sons, Paul Keith Welch, DeLand, and Ryan Parker Welch, DeLeon Springs; brother, Barry Welch, DeLeon Springs; sister, Kim Clements, Quitman, Ga.; and two grandsons, Nathan and Devon.

Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home, DeLand, is in charge of arrangements.
