Dundas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dundas of Tarpon Springs, Florida, was reported missing in action August 16. Subsequent investigation proved he died in the crash of a combat helicopter he was piloting in an air strike against the Viet Cong forces.
Dundas was born in Iola but moved to Dunedin, Florida with his parents as a youth. He graduated from high school there and began service in the Army. After completing training as a pilot he was sent to Viet Nam in March of this year.
His parents moved to Tarpon Springs after their son began his military training.
His mother is the former Frances Copening of Iola.
Surviving are his parents, his wife who makes her home in Dunedin, an aunt, Mrs. Alvin Alexander of Iola, and three uncles, Ralph, John and James Copening, all of Iola.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Michael graduated from Dunedin High School, Dunedin, Florida in the class of 1962. The school mascot is the falcon, and Michael chose "Falcon One" as his Army Aviator call sign.
