Oscar Kreie, 32 years of age, son of John Kreie, 1415? Division street, who has been located on a farm near Milwaukee, died in a Milwaukee hospital of influenza Monday night. The remains will be brought here and the funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Division street home, Rev. Grether officiating.
The deceased was born in the town of Newton, on Jan. 28, 1886 and was a member of the regular army for three years with a Wyoming regiment. He served in the Philippines and also was a member of the regiment guarding San Francisco after the earthquake and fire there some years ago.
Besides the father, five brothers, William at Antigo, Adolph at Stetsonville, Robert, Indianapolis and Walter and Herman of this city and three sisters. Mrs. Ida Boeckmann, Mrs. Wm. Kluzinski and Mrs. Adolph Metzger all of this city survive.
