Crow, Elbert Ottis (Jim)
82, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on September 24, 2011. He served in the Naval Corps and received his Electrical Engineer degree from Fort Wayne University and later a Master's degree in Business from The University of Phoenix. He worked for General Electric, Scott Research and he married the former Mary Ellen Black in 1956 in New York. He loved scouting and earned the prestigious Silver Beaver Award in 1983 for 25 years of scouting. He loved all people and he loved the VA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. Jim was born to Ottis Lee and Mabel Crow in 1929 in Monroe, LA. He is proceeded in death by his sister Margaret and Bobby (Redden) and daughter Robinn (Piersol). He is survived by his cherished wife Mary Ellen, brother Patrick, children Hugh and Pete, Godson Jeff, son in law Eric Piersol, daughter in law Pamela Crow, grandchildren: Ashley, Brandon, Allisa and Hannah Piersol, Zachary and Bradley Crow and step children Peri, Jessica, Jacob and Wilken Gibson. A Military Funeral Service will occur on Oct. 6 at 1pm at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona located at 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ, following this a Memorial will start at approx. 2pm at Beatitudes Life Care Center located at 1616 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix, AZ. ARIZONA REPUBLIC 6 OCT. 2011
