Ernest W. Doty, 87, 1011 E. 10th St., died at the Summit Convalescent Center friday evening following an extended illness.
He was born in Sergeant, Neb., and came to Anderson in 1986 from New Mexico.
He was a member of the Church of God.
He is survived by a daughter, Marge Richardson of Cuna, Idaho; two brothers, Robert Doty of Anderson and Howard Doty of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Beatrice Troxel of San Diego, Calif. and Hyacinth Hertzog of Winnetchi, Wash; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. monday at the Chapel at East Maplewood Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Doty officiating.
