Mr. Claar was born June 21, 1910, in Rexford, Kan. He was reared and educated in Kansas. He had worked in construction most of his life. He came to Idaho and lived in Mountain Home and Jerome. He later moved to Nampa where he made his home. He owned and operated Derby Enterprises in Nampa for several years.
He is survived by his stepmother, Hazel Claar of Kansas; one daughter, LaVonne Ford of Boise; one brother, Vilas Claar; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
