Ruth J. Williams, 82, died March 2, 2005, at Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of Union County.

She was born March 6, 1922, in Wayne County. Her parents were Laurence and Harriet (Paulus) Goodwin. She married Frank Whitter Williams Jr. on Dec. 11, 1943. He preceded her in death March 24, 2004. Survivors include three sons, Ronald L. Williams of Fishers, Thomas D. Williams of Indianapolis and Richard E. Williams of Williamston, Mich.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.

She attended high school in Webster.

She was employed as a dental assistant and was later a co-owner with her husband in the industrial tools industry.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.

The Rev. Cleon Wright will conduct a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ransford Chapel at Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. Inurnment will be at West Point Cemetery in Liberty. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is handling arrangements.
