Edythe LouElla Howard, daughter of John Headrick and the late Jessie Mae Headrick, was born at Beardsley, Kansas on May 7, 1923 and departed this life on Sept. 5, 1963 at the age of 40 years, 3 months, and 23 days.
She spent her early childhood with her parents at McDonald. She graduated from McDonald Rural High Scool with the class of 1940.
On May 14, 1943 she was united in marriage with Charles F. Howard and to this union, one son, Dennis Charles was born.
She was preceded in death by her mother, one sister, Viola Nellie, and two nephews.
She leaves to mourn her passing her son, Dennis Charles Howard, and her father, John Headrick, both of McDonald. There are five sisters, Mrs. Madge Knapp of McDonald, Mrs. Myrna Schnee of Atwood, and Mrs. Fern Johnson, Mrs. Leone Smith and Mrs. Donna Dupuis, all of Denver, Colo. Two brothers, John Faye Headrick of Imperial, Nebr. and Keith Jerome Headrick of Denver. A large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also join in mourning her passing.
Services were held Monday afternoon from the Federated Church with Rev. Clarence Swihart officiating.
