"Funeral services for Mrs. Glen McPherson, 74, were held Wednesday in the Miller Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. V. F. Cloninger. Burial was in Lake Creek Cemetery near Bartlett. Mrs. McPherson died at 12:30 p.m. Monday of a heart attack suffered at her farm home northwest of Chetopa. She had been in failing health for a year but death was not expected.
Mrs. McPherson was born Jennie Chesley on March 4, 1888, at Galesburg, IL. She came to Chetopa at the age of 10 when her father Milan Arelle Chesley (born in Vermont) became publisher of the Chetopa Clipper now the Chetopa Advance.
She was married on March 9, 1915, in her parent's home in Chetopa to Glen McPherson, who survives of the home.
She is also survived by a nephew Milan Chesley of Coffeyville. Her parents and a brother preceded her in death."
