Service for Marvin Edward King, 93, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville. Memorials may be made to Shandon Baptist Church Building Fund. Visitation will be Wednesday 12:30-1 prior to the service.

Mr. King, husband of the late Jeanette Indorf King, died Monday, March 10, 2003. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Landreth F. and Polly Cally King. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in six campaigns including the Battle of the Bulge and the landing on Normandy Beach. He retired as shoe sales manager from Belk Department Store and was a member of Shandon Baptist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Roberta K. Daniels of Taylors, and loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Roy L. King, Sr. and Paul H. King; and sister, Lucille K. Pittman.
