EMORY - Funeral services for Lloyd E. Giles, 81, a lifelong resident of Emory, will be today at 2 p.m. at Wilson-Orwoski Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rodney Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Wilson-Orwoski Funeral Home of Emory.
Mr. Giles was born in Rains Co. on Feb. 12, 1909. He was the son of Alfred and Olma Pound Giles. He married Ouida Rice in Commerce on June 2, 1939. Mr. Giles was a retired rancher and merchant and member of Emory Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Olma Giles Pilgrim of Greenville; three sons, Lloyd E. Giles Jr. of Mesquite, Bobby A Giles of Canton and Charles L. Giles of Greenville; one brother, J.W. Giles of Emory; three sisters, Lillie Mae McCravey of Overton, Pauline Blanton of Greenville and Kathrine Crum of Longview; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1987.
Grandsons will serves as pallbearers.
