Mrs. Stevens was born in Halifax County on May 27,1914 and was the daughter of Juddie Lee Wynn Sr. and Ada May Jones Wynn. She was married to the late Daniel Jacob Stevens ,and was a member of the Blackwalnut Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse.
She is survived by a nephew of the home ; Arvin Wynn of Alton,Va, two sisters Mrs. Annie Myers of Nathalie ,Va. and Mrs. Kathleen Talbott of Alton,Va. a brother Juddie Lee Wynn Jr. of Nathalie, Va.,and by many other nieces and nephews also by three brothers that have passed away the late Wesley Wynn, Frank Wynn, and Robert Wynn. One very close friend Dot Smith.
A funeral service was held Tuesday November 7, at 2pm at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in South Boston ,Va. with the Revs. Kenneth Clark , and the Rev. Johnny Roberts conducting the service with special music by Faith Mennonite Singers.,with the burial in The Halifax Memorial Gardens.
Aunt Innie, was a very special lady ,who was loved very much,and will be missed,she loved life ,and enjoyed cooking ,and number one was fishing, she landed many big ones in her life.
My fishing friend has gone home.
Aunt Innie ,don't let the big one get away.
