Streator, IL - Margaret H. Galick, 91, of Streator passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator.

Born June 10, 1920, in Streator, she was the daughter of George and Helen (Kachmar) Tkach. She married Edmund Gus Galick on Oct. 11, 1941. He died on Jan. 31, 1972.

She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Margie Brennan of East Peoria; a son, James (Rosanne) Gallick of Streator; grandchildren, Mark Brennan of East Peoria, Mary Theresa O'Dwyer of Chester Springs, Pa., Jennifer Jason of Pekin, Steven Gallick of Gridley and Christopher Gallick of Dublin, Calif.; great-grandchildren, James Anderson, Dani O'Dwyer, Ethan Brennan, Sydney Jason, Isabella Jason, and one expected great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Tkach; many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Connie Fraleigh and Ann Woolford-Fox; brothers, John, George and Louis Tkach; and a son-in-law, Robert Brennan.

Born and raised in Streator, she attended St. Stephen's Grade School. Through the years she worked for Lipton Tea Co. and Thatcher's Glass Manufacturing. Later in life, Margaret also worked as a caregiver.

She was a life member of St. Stephen's Church, and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

Pallbearers will be Steve Gallick, Christopher Gallick, Randy Tkach, Bob Christensen, Mark Brennan, Ethan Brennan, Dan Gallick and Brian Jason. Honorary pallbearers will be Mary Theresa O'Dwyer, Dani O'Dwyer, James Anderson, Jennifer Jason, Sydney Jason and Isabella Jason.

Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Streator.
