Funeral services for Mrs. Octavine Brooke Carroll, 79, of 770 Rankin will be held today at 4 p. in. Roberts and Pipkin-Bru- ' lin Funeral Chapel. Dr. John Wesley Hardt, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Carroll died yesterday at 2:55 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She had lived in Beaumont since 1937 and was born in Jasper County. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Pallbearers will be Charles W. Kelly, M. A. Widner, Gilbert Brooke, Willie Brooke, E.L. Willford and John Oswait.
Mrs. Carroll is survived by three sons, James R. and A. Brooke Carroll, both of Beaumont and Willis Burton Carroll of Kinder, La.; three daughters, Mrs. A. DiGiorgio of Madrid Spain, Mrs. Betty Carroll Walters (this is a granddaugher wife of Carroll O Walters) and Miss Veronica Carroll, both of Beaumont; one sister, Mrs. Ben F. Orme of Port Arthur; three brothers, Ben P. Brooke of Woodville, John C. and T. R. Brooke, both of Corpus Christi; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
