Ethel Mae Douglas, 88, died on Friday, October 7, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late John P. Douglas, Jr. She was preceded in death by her grandson, David Alan McBryar and granddaughter, Nikki Williamson.

Ethel was a longtime member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (Gene) McBryar, Wildwood, GA, Linda Sue Gossett, Wildwood, GA, Brenda (Dennis) Owens, Wildwood, GA, Roxanne (John) Albright, Hixson, TN; grandchildren, Doug (Becky) McBryar, Rossville, GA, Scott (Sherry) Williamson, Wildwood, GA, Mark Broyles, Lisa Broyles, Josh Owens of Wildwood, GA, Buffy Long, Hixson, TN, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Arlena Maples and Dora Wilson.

Special thanks to Amedisys Home Health of Trenton and Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care.

Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Wauhatchie United Methodist Church with Reverend Bill Akers officiating.

Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens West.
