Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Daryl Coe officiating. Interment will be in Rogers Cemetery in Russell Co., KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, at the funeral home.
Myrtle Shearer Butler was the daughter of the late Robert and Flora Lawless Shearer. She was born in Russell Co., KY, on Tuesday, March 15, 1921, and died in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and one day.
She was preceded in death by one brother: James Shearer & two sisters, Edith Cape and Dorothy Shotts.
She is survived by the following:
Two sisters: Martha Love of Speedway, IN; and Edna Dawson of Arizona
Locally, one niece: Janette Hadley of Columbia, KY
And several other nieces, nephews and cousins
Mrs. Butler was retired from the Rayco Manufacturing in South Bend, IN after 30 years service.
