Rites Arranged For Mrs. Bell

Mrs. Dorothy Bell, 71, of 305 42nd St. a Lubbock resident 40 years, was dead on arrival at West Texas Hospital about 8:45 a.m. Sunday after a sudden illness.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. E.M. Ward, pastor of Hartwell Heights Baptist Church, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. J. B. Vickery, a retired minister.

Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery directed by Sanders Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bell moved here from Navarro County where she had lived several years. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge 321 and a member of Harwell Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, S.E.; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Lee Jordan of Lubbock; three sons, James of Fort Worth, Billy E. of Oklahoma City and David Earl of Pampa; two sisters, Mrs. Doc Davis of Lubbock and Mrs. Lillian Stanford of Houston; a half sister, Mrs. Lillie Faye Miller of Isabella, Okla.; two brothers, David Cummings of Patmos, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ben Strawn, Woody Strawn, Jim Drury, L.W. Shaw, Charlie Hunter and Hubert Tucker, Jr.
