Flasher - Alma E. Richter, 89, Flasher, died Feb. 8, 2001 in the Mandan hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at American Lutheran Church, Flasher, with the Rev. Ken Trana officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, east of Flasher.

Alma was born Jan. 24, 1912, in Flasher, the daughter of Eric and Selma (Persson) Anderson. Her parents died in 1922 and she was raised by foster parents, Bertha and John Lind. She married Clifford Lawson in 1927. He died in 1946 and she married Leonard RIchter in 1948. They farmed southeast of Flasher until they moved into Flasher in 1976.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Imogene Lawson, Federal Way, Wash., Delbert and Verda Lawson, and James and Rosemary Lawson and Cleo RIchter, all of Flasher; her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and William Garlati, Vero beach, Fla; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and her brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Francis Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; her husband, Leonard, who died Jan. 10, 1986; her son, Larry RIchter, who died in 1951; two sisters and four brothers.
