His name is also found as Wilhelm Heinrich Alders. He was a German Catholic. He was born in St. Martins Catholic Church in Starkenberg, Missouri.
Per family stories, William came to Barneston, Nebraska with a cattle drive. He rode a pony all the way from St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a farmer throughout his life and farmed in Barneston as well as Liberty, Nebraska.
He married Elizabeth Sullivan on September 12, 1890 per Church records but a newspaper article shared that they were married September 25, 1889.
He died at home in Barneston, NE. on February 17, 1942 of Skin and Colon Cancer and was buried 2 days later in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lot 28.

William Henry Alders of Barneston died February 17 at the age of 80 years. Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 19, at 10:30 from the Catholic Church in Barneston. Surviving are his wife and several children. Miller's Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
