Elizabeth A. Jones, 93, of Sycamore, Ill., died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Bethany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in DeKalb.
Born Jan. 23, 1910, in Warren, Ohio, she was daughter of Veron Q. and Mary E. (King) Parsons. She married Oscar B. Jones on Aug. 28, 1936, in Ripley, N.Y.
She is survived by a son, David (Georgia) Jones of Kingston; a daughter, Mary (Bill) Ballenger of Sycamore; five grandchildren, Brian (Brenda) Jones of Sycamore, Laura (Randy) Ericson of Sycamore, Elizabeth Harrington of Sycamore, Eleanor (Earl) Garcia of DeKalb and Bill (Jenny) Ballenger of Sycamore; 11 grandchildren, Krysten and David Jones, Amanda and Jason Ericson, Paige Harrington, Cody and Courtney Ballenger, all of Sycamore, and Nicole and Tony O'Donnell, Jordan and Bailey Garcia, all of DeKalb; a sister-in-law, Louise Parsons of Temple, Texas; a nephew, Veron Parson Jr. of Texas; and a niece, Anita Dagostino of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar B. Jones, in May 1991; and a brother, Veron K. Parsons.
Burial will be at Ohio Grove Cemetery.
