Stewart Irving Perkins was born in Union County KY. He married Charlotte Elizabeth Lana "Bettie" Tilley on 12 Dec. 1878 in Shawneetown, IL. At the time of his death he was one of the oldest farmers in Union County. I actually found the 1853 birth recording for S. Irving Perkins, son of Owen Perkins and Ann Martin in Union County Kentucky records. So his actual middle name was Irving and was pronounced as Ervin. Some where along the way he had also given himself the middle name of Elindsey.
