Abe and Alice were married for 48 years, starting out on a homestead on the Little Beaver Creek, later purchasing a farm in Cherry Creek. They had six children ~ Hugh, Dow, Estella, Esther, Ira, and Mark. (They gave none of their children middle names.) Abe was certified to teach, and all six children were educated and certified to teach.
