Cecilia left PA and moved to Cleveland where she worked as a housekeeper. She married a southern gentleman from W.VA and they resided in Cincinnai and their children are: Amos Christian Spencer, Oscar Spencer, Blanche Spencer-Bossong, Bessie Spencer-Gruell-Grueninger, Alice Spencer-Daugherty-Finch. Cecilia was left a widow and finished raising her children alone. She was well loved by her granddaughter, Shirley. She left her offspring a legacy of being a christian woman, honest and hard working, and her deep love of family which was exposed in her 1882 Diary.
Cecilia was cremated and her remains buried at Oak Hill Cemetery/Glendale.
