Frank V. Lorenzo Sr., 90, of Tulare passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001.

He was born in Lolita on April 18, 1911. He moved to Tulare County at the age of nine years. He attended Buena Vista School. He married the former Rosie Bettercourt on April 4, 1934 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. He was a dairy farmer for 57 years, before retiring in 1976.

He was a member of St. Aloyuius Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Centurian committee. He was also a member of the Tulare County Cabrillo Civic Club No 12, U.P.E.C. No. 90, S.E.S. No. 28, I.D.E.S. No. 80 and T.D.E.S. committee. He loved working in his garden and caring for his farm animals. He enjoyed trips to the sales yard.

In addition to his wife, Rosie Lorenzo of Tulare, he is survived by his son, Frank V Lorenzo Jr. and his wife June, of Tulare; His daughter Betty Ann Rowland and her husband Chuck, of Ventura; three sisters, Olivia Coelho, Belmida Lorenzo and Wilhelmina Borges, all of Tulare; five grandchildren, Debra Lynn Sanders, Sander Norlander, Sharla Overstreet,Todd Lorenzo and Ted Patrick Lorenzo; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a grandson,Richard Shane Roche.

Recitation of the Rosary, followed by celebation of the mass, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at st Aloysius Church, 125 E. Pleasant Ave., with burial in the Tulare District Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Miller's Funeral Home. Rememberances may be madeto Hospice of Tulare, 900 West Oak St., Visalia, CA 93291.
