Mrs. Roberts died Friday, Dec. 23 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a farmer,
a homemaker, and attended the Church of God.
Born August 4, 1913, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas
Warren and Emma Amelia Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her first husband, Andy Dailey; her second husband, Johnnie Roberts; 4 brothers,
Jess W. Brown, Arnold Brown, Thurston Brown, and Frank Marion Brown; 2 sisters,
Willene Short and Grace Dailey; and a granddaughter, Shirley Nell Rich. She was also
preceded in death by four of her sisters' children whom she raised.
Survivors include 3 sons, Homer Dailey and Shirley Ray ;Mousie;
Dailey, both of Hilham, and Edward Dailey of Monroe; 2 step-sons, J.C. Roberts and
Jackie Roberts, both of Livingston; 2 daughters, Thelma Blagg and Christine Rich,
both of Hilham; 2 step-daughters, Betty Sue Pennington of Livingston and Sharon Odom
of Murfreesboro; a brother, Tom Brown of Atlanta, GA; a special grandson, Bennett
Ray Dailey; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several
step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Matthew Brown, J.C. Roberts, Jackie Roberts, Fowler Pennington,
Rick McCoy, Ralph Brown, James Homer Dailey, and Ronnie Dailey.
