She was the first daughter of Dan P Eells and his second wife Mary Witt.

She was referred to as Idaka. She died during the explosion of the ship Chatauqua on Lake Chatauqua. Her grandfather Stillman Witt paid for the construction of Idaka Chapel in the Baptist church in Cleveland, Ohio located at Euclid at East 9th street.

In 1881 when the church moved to a new site at Prospect Ave. and E. 46th St., her parents built a new Idaka Chapel.
