Gerald W. Hackenbruch, 44, of 243 Quarterline, Portland died Saturday at St. Lawrence hospital, Lansing, following a short illness.
He was born March 29, 1925 in Grand Rapids and was a resident of Portland the past 38 years.
A member of St. Patrick's church, he also belonged to the Knights of Columbus, a veteran of World War II and secretary-treasurer of Portland Little League.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 am at St. Patrick's church in Portland with burial at Portland cemetery.
Gerald was the son of Eva (Martin) and Joseph Hackenbruch.
