PERRY S. POFFENBARGER
Perry S. Poffenbarger, 97, of Charleston died April 20, 1997, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a short illness.
He was a retired senior partner with Poffenbarger & Higgins Law Firm, Charleston, and was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church and West Virginia Bar Association.
He was a 70-year resident of Charleston and was a Navy veteran of World War I.
He was a graduate of University of Virginia law school and Ohio University engineering school, where he taught engineering.
Surviving: wife, Helen Wood Poffenbarger; nephew, George Poffenbarger II of Hillsborough, N.C.
Service will be 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, South Hills, with the Rev. Knute Jacobson officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
