R.J. Hamilton Dies Saturday At Home Here

Ruel Jasper Hamilton of Mangum died Saturday at his home here after a five-year-illness.

Rites will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Baptist church, Rev. Frank Moore in charge. Burial will be in Roselawn cemetery.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hamilton he was born Aug. 5, 1882, in Anderson county, Texas. After moving to Grady, Okla., he married Miss Minnie Chapman, September 24, 1905.

The couple moved to Texas in 1908 and came to Greer county in 1927, farming at Jester and Reed.

Survivors include three sons Rufus Hamilton, Pampa, Texas; Melvin Hamilton, Yuba City, Calif. and S-Sgt. Glenon Hamilton, North Africa; five daughters Mrs. Faye Nuchols, Richmond, Calif.; Mrs. Hazel Box, Hereford, Texas; Mrs. Omega Graham, Carmichael, Calif.; Mrs. Dessie Call, Clovis, N.M. and Mrs. Verlie Templer, Mangum; 21 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; four sisters, two brothers.
