Harriet L. GLADFELTER, 79, of HCR 61, Box 524, Mill Creek, died
Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at 7:10 a.m., at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital,
Huntingdon. Born Oct. 15, 1920, in Mill Creek, she was the daughter of
the late Frank and Alice (Rutherford) Henry. She was united in marriage
to Leroy M. Gladfelter Sr. Feb. 1, 1941, at Huntingdon, R.D. 3, by the
Rev. Sowash. He preceded her in death July 2, 1981. Surviving are the
following children: Mrs. Bohn (Janice L.) Hoover, Huntingdon; Leroy M.
Gladfelter Jr., McVeytown; Dennis H. Gladfelter, Stanley, Va.; William
A. Gladfelter and Mrs. William (Kathryn L.) Collins, both of HCR 61,
Mill Creek. There are 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. One
son, Donald, preceded her in death. The last surviving member of her
immediate family, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and
Ellsworth. Mrs. Gladfelter was of the Protestant faith. A 1939 graduate
of Huntingdon High School, she was primarily a homemaker. Funeral
services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m., at the Robert E.
Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Raymond C. Crownover
officiating. Interment will be made in the Mountainview Cemetery, Mill
Creek.
