Son of Hugh and Elizabeth (Caldwell) McCracken. He married Alice Kunselman on January 7, 1907. He and Alice had four children: Elizabeth, Byron, Hugh, and Robert. They lived in Brookville and Oil City before moving to Titusville. D.B. retired in 1939.
