Christian travelled to Oregon with his first wife Myra Owens and her family in about 1903. He eventually filed for divorce from Myra, charging desertion, and married Lydia (Huntley) Carey on the afternoon of the 5th of Mar 1910. Lydia and Christian had two children: Christena Mary & George Henry.
