Norma Appler was born on December 21, 1918 to Carl and Melissa Rhodes in Marlboro, NY. She attended local schools and after moving to Milton she graduated from Highland High School.
Norma is survived by Three Sons, James, Jr, and Wife Kathleen, Gael and wife Janice and Carl and wife Deborah. Also survived by Seven Grandchildren, Lisa and Fiance Lenny, James and wife Carrie, Gael and wife Corissa, John, Todd and Matthew and the love of her life, Gary John. Norma has 5 great-grandchildren. Michael, Olivia, Whitney, Gabriel and Adeline and several nieces and nephews and Sister, Doris Hoha of Plainville, Ct.
Normas was predeceased by her Husband, James, Son, Gary and 2 brothers Carl & Everett.
Norma was first and foremost a loving mother and grandmother. She was employed for many years as a seamstress at Marlboro Styles and continues sewing into her retirement teaching adult education at MCHS.
The family would like to acknowledge the loving care she received from the staff at Wingate Ulster during the last years of her life.
Visitation will be held at The DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro on Thursday, October 13, from 4-8PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday Morning at 10am at St. James Church, Milton. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Marlboro, New York. Arrangements are under the direction of Carl J. DiDonato, Jr of The DiDonato Funeral Service, Inc.
