SYCAMORE: Theodore "Ted' Robinson, age 90 of Sycamore, O. died at 11:50 A.M. ,Thursday, October 6,2011 at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky, O. He was born on May 5,1921 to Theodore and Ethel (Davis) Robinson in Hepzibah, West Virginia.

Ted is survived by his wife of 60 yrs. Nancy (Curlis) Robinson of Sycamore, a daughter Lea (Robinson) Bland of Tiffin, O., and a son Barry V. Robinson of Columbus, O. He is also survived by grandchildren: Dustin Snyder, Sycamore, O., Acacia Bland ,Tiffin, O. and Hailee Bland , Niles, O., along with great grandchildren Destiny, Kenadee, Spencer, Carson, Eeliah and Wyatt. Also a sister-in-law Betty Robinson of Virginia and a brother-in-law W.F. H. Borman of Indiana. A nephew Michael Borman of Indiana and nieces Barbara Robinson of Virginia and Janet Layfield.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers and sisters: Mildred Shook, Ralph D. Robinson, Robert D. Robinson, Ruth Cramer and Patricia Borman. A nephew Paul Shook Jr. and a niece Ann Borman.

Ted graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1939. He attended Potomac State University for one year before enlisting in the Army. He was stationed in Italy and North Africa during W.W. II as chief Warrant OfficerHe served in the service until 1945. He then enrolled at Ohio State University and graduated in 1947. Ted was a member of Sycamore American Legion Post # 250.

Ted worked for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company in Charleston and Beckley, West Virginia beford transferring to Ohio Bell in Findlay and Dayton, Ohio.Ted moved to Sycamore in 1958 and worked for Ohio Farmers before he was hired by the former First National Bank in Bucyrus, O. He worked his way up to President in 1973. He remained in that position until he retired in December of 1986, but remained as a Director until December 2000. He was also a Director for the Great Lakes Bankers Bank in Columbus, O. until January 2001.

Ted was a member of Enterprise Lodeg # 579 F.& A.M., Sycamore, Ohio where he was a Mason for over 60 years. He also received his 32nd Degree from the Masons. He also belonged to the Zenobia Shrine, Tiffin, O. At various times he belonged to the Lions Club, Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs. He also was a member of the Sycamore United Methodist Church where he was on the finance committee.Ted had an intense interest in farming and managed farms for D.L. Sears in Bucyrus,O. and Iowa., along with the family farm. He loved Tennessee Walking Horses, Boxer Dogs and was an avid Ohio State Fan.

Funeral services for Ted will be held on Tuesday, October 11,2011 at 11:00 A,M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore,O. with the Rev. Paul Bennett and the Rev. Gary Glasscock officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, O. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10,2011 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home where a Masonic Service will be held at 8:00 P.M.

The Sycamore American legion will conduct a military graveside service on Tuesday at the cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to either Sycamore United Methodist Church or Hospice of Wyandot County in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Sycamore, O. 44882.
