UPTON -- Henry J. Belseth, 77, of Main Street, died Monday, April 10, in Beaumont Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Northbridge.
His wife, Helen G. (Doble) Belseth, died in 1992. He leaves three sons, Randy L. Belseth of Uxbridge, John H. and David W. Belseth, both of Boston; a daughter, Cindy L. Belseth of Worcester; a brother, Harold Belseth of Hudson; a sister, Margaret Bickford of Hopedale; four grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. A brother, Arthur Belseth, and two sisters, Maud Holt and Regnald Thatcher, died before him. He was born in Millville, son of Joseph and Margret (Anderson) Belseth, and lived in Whitinsville many years before moving to Upton in 1990. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Asia and the Pacific.
Mr. Belseth was a machinist at Bay State Abrasives Co. in Westboro for more than 20 years, retiring in 1987. After he retired, he drove a van for Alternatives Unlimited of Whitinsville. He was a member of Uxbridge Grange 200, Worcester-Norfolk Pomona Grange 10, and Massachusetts State Grange.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 14, in Buma Funeral Home, 101 North Main St., Uxbridge. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Uxbridge. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 13, in the funeral home.
