Rites Saturday for Mrs. James Finke

Mrs. James F. (Blanche A.) Finke, 71, Donnybrook, died Tuesday in a Minneapolis Hospital. The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Donnybrook United Methodist Church. The burial was in the Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold. Pallbearers were Vernon Berg, Leonard Steinberger, Lynn Geyer, Clarence Schultz, Wallace Birkeland and Norman Lee.

The former Blanche Finke was born on August 18, 1912, at Logan, N.D., a daughter of the late Charles A. and Ethel Wilson. She was raised in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1930. Following high school she was employed at the Ward County Court House for several years.

On September 3, 1939, in Minot, she married James F. Finke. They lived in Minot until the fall of 1940, when they moved to Berthold where they lived for one year before moving to Donnybrook where they have since lived.

She was active in the Donnybrook United Methodist Church, and a member of the Methodist's Women's Missionary Society of the Church, and also was a 4-H leader in Donnybrook for many years. She also was active in ceramics.

Surviving is her husband, James F.; daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Mabel Fay) Jensen of Esmond, Mrs. James (Mary Louise) Olson of Minot, Mrs, Tom (Joyce Elaine) Pearson of Donnybrook and Mrs, Roger (Marjorie) Emens of Arro Grande, Calif. , 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Wilson of Hartford, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Harold (Doris) Abram of Randall, Kansas
