He was born in Effingham, Ill., and came here in 1969 from Chicago, where he was a retired warehouse superintendent after 42 years with Crooks Terminal Warehouse. Survivors include his wife, Florence L.; a son, James J. Hill, Clearwater, and two daughters, Carola Lilly, Dunedin, and Virginia R. Hill, Clearwater.
