A.W. Friedrich Taken By Death

Resident of City Since 1905 succumbs at home here; Funeral Not Set.

August W. Friedrich, 70, died at his home, 1484 Washington street, early this morning.

Mr. Friedrich was born in Warsaw, Poland, Feb. 28, 1863. He came to Muscatine in 1905 and has been a resident here since that time. He married Marie Grinke. She died 33 years ago. Seven children were born to them, four of whom preceded him in death. Thirteen years ago he married Miss Lottie Martin of Muscatine, who with 16 grandchildren and the following children survive.

Mrs. William Bartenhagen, Grandview; Mrs. Frank Wendlandt, Muscatine; Gus Friedrich, Blue Island, ILL.; one brother, Henry Friedrich, Muscatine; three sisters, Mrs. G Brendel, Muscatine, and two in Poland.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home and pending word from relatives.

The body will be taken to the residence Sunday morning.
