Gerald 'GC', Caesar, Sr. of the 1400 Block of Maple Avenue was the son of Leroy and the late Elizabeth Casear. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Flemming and one brother, Jerry Caesar, Sr.
'GC' was a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church as well as the New Horizon Choir.
Left to cherish his everlasting memories are his five loving daughters, Deborah Smith (Edward, Jr.), Gerra Caesar, Jasmine Caesar, Casey Caesar and Alana Caesar; two adoring sons, Jason Caesar (Emily) and Gerald Caesar, Jr.; father, Leroy Caesar (Florena); three sisters, Barbara Y. Caesar, Machelle Albright (Gerald) and Tammy Caesar; two brothers, Leroy Caesar, Jr. (Lenora) and Julius Caesar; grandchildren, Caitlin, Jordyn and Gabrielle Smith; and Phoenix and Kingston Caesar; sister-in-law, Valjean Caesar; ex-wife, Renee Caesar-Clark; special friend, Vickie Knight; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A service celebrating Gerald's life will take place on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 3310 Deep Creek Blvd. in Portsmouth. Burial will be in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery
