June Barnard, age 82, of Rolette, ND passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010, in Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND

June Theresa Barnard was born on March 13, 1928 in Fargo, ND to Tresa LaFrombois. June was united in marriage to Joe Barnard on December 29, 1976, in Umatilla, Florida. Together they worked at a Methodist Church in Orlando, Florida, for 15 years before moving back to the Belcourt, ND area.

June loved music and was musically inclined, teaching herself to play piano and to play the French horn. June also enjoyed movies and playing with children. She was like a family protector to many of her family members as they grew up. June will be lovingly missed by her husband and all of her family members and friends.

June is survived by her husband, Joe Barnard of Rolette, ND; sister, Margaret LaRocque of Dunseith, ND; adoptive mother, Elsie (LaFromboise) Frank of Belcourt, ND; sisters, Geraldine (Jack) Marcavage of Belcourt and Madonna Seelhammer of St. Paul, MN; brothers, Joseph (Roxie) LaFromboise of Belcourt and Richard (Linda) LaFromboise of Dunseith; and many nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her mother; brothers, Stanley LaFromboise, Gerald Dean LaFromboise, and George Lilley; and sister, Maria Hulett-Overbay.

Casket Bearers were Paul Hulette, Melvin "Jockoo" Frank; John, Justin, and Travis Marcavage; and Robert Hulett.

Honorary Bearers were Jack Marcavage, Joe and Richard LaFromboise, Kyle Brunelle, Wayne Seelhammer, John, Paul, Jair Peltier, Jocko "Brother" Frank, Chuggar Davis, and Jackson Davis.

Music was provided by Troy DeCoteau.

Visitation began at 6:00 pm on Monday, October 11, 2010, in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, with a Rosary Service at 8:00 pm.

Funeral Mass was on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 10:00 am in the church with FR. Bob Cronin presiding. Burial was in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
