Ilva G. Christie of the Town of Newburgh , a longtime area resident and retired business manager with thirty-five years of employment to the American Lung Association entered into rest Wednesday October 5, 2011 at St. Luke's -Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 71.
The daughter of the late John and Gladys Pemberton, Ilva was born April 3, 1940 in New York City.
Survivors include her husband Dorrel H. Christie Sr., son; Dorrel Christie Jr., daughters; Lausanne M. Williams and Roslyn Laing, Grandchildren; Shayna Williams, Christopher Williams, David Johnson and Darren Laing, one Great Grandchild; Nataleigh Williams.

A memorial gathering will take place from 5 - 9 PM, Friday, October 28, 2011 at Homewood Suites Hilton, 180 Breunig Rd., New Windsor, NY. Vocal remembrance will take place at 7 PM with Michael Moore.
