MRS CATHERINE SIMON
DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS MOTHER OF CITY LICENSE CLERK WILL BE BURIED TUESDAY
Mrs Catherine Pickard Simon mother of Andrew J. Simon, city license clerk, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Thomas Red d on Galatin pike and due west ave at 1200 o'clock Sunday morning after being invalid for about eight years. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 8:45 o'clock Tuesday morning with reqiuen high mass at the Holy Name church
at 9:30 o'clock
Mrs Simon, who was a native of Alsace-Lorrane, came to this country early in life, being 85 years old at the time of her death. She
had been a resident of Nashville for about 40 years. She had devoted a long part of her time to the church of the Assumption, of which she was a devout member. She was the oldest resident of North Nashville, where she lived for many years before moving to her daughters home in East Nashville a short time ago.
Besides Andrew J. Simon, and Mrs Anna Catherine Redd , she is survived by one other son, Edward J. Simon of Nashville; nine grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren . The following grandsons will serve as honorary pallbeaners= :: D.T.Redd , Johnny and Andrew Simon, Delmas Simon, Lester Brown, and Sidney Underwood.
Active pallbearers will be:. A.L. Bardill, Henry Neuhoff, Malk Goodwin, E.C. Martin, Burnerd Gothard , J.J.Jones, A.G. Seibert and Henry Schweiss.
Burial will be in the family square at M t Calvery Cemetary
